Society of Plastics Engineers
Susquehanna Section

About the Section

The Susquehanna Section of the Society of Plastic Engineers actively seeks out and pursues the next generation of Leaders and Professionals of the plastics industry and to involve them in our section. The section’s purpose and objective remains the same - we will promote the scientific and engineering knowledge of plastics. Throughout the year we hold both technical and social meetings based on the collaborative exchange of knowledge in and of the plastics industry. Although our section is Injection molding focused, we promote plastics processing as a whole and do not limit education and knowledge transfer to any specific industry.

History

The Susquehanna Section of the Society of Plastics Engineers was founded over 40 years ago and has developed a strong and lasting professional network both in the plastics and technical molding industry. The section has weathered many storms through the years and has continued active and matured to a strong and viable Section both its charter, sustaining membership and local support. We look forward to another 35 years of service to the plastics community.

Current Goals of the Section

  • Maintaining the Charter of and as a Section of the Society
  • Actively seek and pursue young professionals that are interested in both education and leadership within the plastics industry.
  • Create and maintain a forum in which to foster education and develop leadership skills.
  • Use technology to communicate with and expand our membership.
